Ho ho ho! Also: HO!

Welp, it is once again the most wonderful time of the year — unless you count Halloween and Springtime, which are both pretty awesome too.
No matter what time of year it is, I am happy to be comin' atcha with my first ever Christmas album, DEAR SANTA CLAUS! Featuring four brand-new Christmas songs by yours truly and one slightly off-kilter version of Jingle Bells, DEAR SANTA CLAUS is a Christmas party for the whole Christmas family and you are SO Christmas invited!Available for digital download from iTunes and Amazon.com starting on Thanksgiving Day, all proceeds (minus iTunes and Amazon processing fees) from the sale of DEAR SANTA CLAUS will be donated to a wonderful non-profit organization called CAMP VICTORY. Located in my home commonwealth of Pennsylvania, CAMP VICTORY was designed and built to meet the often special needs of children who are chronically ill or physically challenged. You can find out more about this great organization by visiting their web site: www.campvictory.org.
For those of you keeping score at home, here is the track listing:
1. That's How You Know It's Christmas (Billy Kelly)
2. A Doozy of a Christmas Eve (William "Billy" Kelly)
3. Dear Santa Claus (Won't You Give Me Just One More Chance?) (Bill "William" Kelly)
4. Glebells Jing! (James Lord Pierpont)
5. Let's Make Christmas Last (Billy "Bill" Kelly)
I recorded this EP with some super talented local session musicians from my hometown of Lewisburg PA. Joe DeChristopher on guitar, Bill Stetz on bass, Steve Adams on accordion, and Grammy-award winning drummer Steve Mitchell on, well, drums naturally! The Johnny Box Singing Singers (of The Ballad of Johnny Box fame) lent their vocal talents on my Jingle Bells cover, and my daughters Jane and Lilly helped me out on the opening track, That's How You Know it's Christmas. Speaking of my daughter Jane, she created the beautiful stamp art on the cover of DEAR SANTA CLAUS. Steve Adams recorded the basic tracks and my old pal Kimbo Reichley handled the overdubbing, mixing and mastering chores. Very sincere thanks to everyone listed above for their help with this project. Y'all are some beautiful cats!
I hope you'll head on over to iTunes or Amazon and buy a copy of DEAR SANTA CLAUS for yourself to help make spirits bright while decking the halls and having a holly jolly Christmas to all and to all a good night. Hope ya like it!
In conclusion; ho ho ho,

The Happy Happy Song and Dance Show
I h
ave a super cool show coming up this Saturday, September 10th at the Campus Theatre in Lewisburg, PA. Myself and The Blahblahblahs will be performing live in the orchestra pit while The Bucknell Dancing Dancers (of Bucknell University, natch) dance on stage. Choreographer extraordinaire Kelly Knox (Associate Professor &
Director of Dance in Bucknell University’s Department of Theatre and Dance) has put together some amazing dances to a whole bunch of my songs. If I know you, you don't want to miss it. People will be lifted into the air. People will join together to make animal shapes. Tutus will be worn. Johnny Box will be there. Some very talented kids are going to perform a great dance to my song "The Family Garden". We're going to show a few of my music videos on the big screen. Popcorn will be available. It's gonna be huge.
The Blahblahblahs, (Gary, Evan, Bob & Jake) The Bucknell Dancing Dancers, (Amanda, Chelsea, Sam, Courtney, Abbey, & Michelle) the kids, (Emma, Josiah, & Jane) Kelly and I have all been working really really hard on this show, and we think it's going to be loads of fun for all. We all hope you can come on out and join us! Showtime is 3:00 PM, and additional info can be found on my "concerts" page. See ya at the show!

El Jardín de la Familia
If I spoke Spanish, that might well be the title of my new cd. As it is, I decided to go with The Family Garden instead. English being my native tongue, this just seemed to make more sense. The new disc features 16 glorious tracks, many of them actual songs! (I'm not gonna lie to you: a couple of tracks are just me and The Blahblahblahs goofing around in the studio.) Rest assured: the remainder of the disc is jam-packed with 10 new original songs and two cover songs that we just felt like including. (Rock lobster, anyone?) My pal Molly Ledford, from the super-cool kids music band Lunch Money, joins me in singing We Could Be Pen Pals — a song that we wrote together. My daughter Jane chimes in on bells on I'm Thinking of an Animal (get it: CHIMES in on BELLS???) and my daughter Lilly helps close the album out with a wicked harmonica solo on It's a Wonderful Life. I even managed to get my dad, Billy Kelly Sr., to contribute some vocals to my song That old American Flag. Thanks Dad! The Blahblahblahs are in fine form throughout and I assure you, they totally bring the rock. Based upon what I know about your tastes in music, which is — admittedly — nothing, I have a feeling you're really going to enjoy this CD.
Il Giardino Della Famiglia (that's what I would have called The Family Garden if I was Italian) comes out on April 5th. It'll be available here, on iTunes, on Amazon.com, and at my upcoming shows. YAY!

New Videooooooo
You've listened to the song, now watch the teaser video for the actual video!
('Teaser video' is a fancy name for a promotional film intended to arouse interest or curiosity in a longer film which is to follow. I learned that on google.) Director Frank Fusco, who wrote and directed the music video for my song I Can't Get Away From Myself, is back in the proverbial saddle; making the video for Me and My Brand New Haircut. Frank filmed me and Davy Jones at Ziegler's Barber Shop, here in my hometown of Lewisburg, PA, last week. A splendid time was had by all, but you'll have to take my word for it until our video comes out on October 26th. Between now and then, you shall have to content yourself with the teaser video (see definition above) which is now showing on the videos page.
Lots of thanks to Davy for appearing in the video, to Frank for writing/directing/filming/editing the video, to Steve Gibson for assisting on-set, to Bob Albin for assisting on and off set, to Steve Ziegler for letting us use his barber shop, and to anyone else who helped out! Like me, for example. Thanks, me!

Mr. Jones and Me
Hi everyone. Billy here, but you probably already knew that. Thanks for visiting my website. Feel free to click on stuff, look at pictures and read some words. Gosh, I just LOVE that new website smell! The big news over here at BillyKelly WorldIndustries Corporation Incorporated™ these days is the release of Is This Some Kind of Joke? my brand new cd. And the big news about that is that the aforementioned new cd features a duet with a certain Davy Jones, from a little band I like to call THE MONKEES!!! Okay, everybody likes to call them The Monkees, but you get the point.
I wrote Davy a letter a few months ago telling him what a big fan of his music I am, and asking if he'd like to sing a duet with me on my new cd. To make a long story short, after I mailed the letter I pivoted away from the mailbox on my left heel, and began to walk back home, placing one foot in front of the other and propelling my upright body forward using my leg muscles and my delicate sense of equilibrium, honed by millions of years of human evolution. I swung my arms side to side as I went and eventually made it to the corner, where I turned left. Okay, maybe I should make this story even shorter: Davy wrote back and said he'd do it! YAY!
A few weeks later we were in the studio together and Davy Jones sang my song Me and My Brand New Haircut with me. He was super duper nice, totally charming and extremely funny. That's a picture of me (with the goatee) and Davy (without the goatee) and Kimbo (with the other goatee) at Kimbo's Recording Studio in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, after our recording session.
The song is available for download on iTunes & Amazon, and on cd (with 9 more of my songs!) here on my web site, on Amazon and on CDbaby.com. A video for Me and My Brand New Haircut is in the works, and someone from The Monkees may star in it. Hint: not Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork or Mickey Dolenz.
